Pat-Lin Communications had the honour of being the first appointed PR Agency by Yeo’s in their 53 years of history in Malaysia. To reiterate Yeo’s positioning as the “evergreen brand with a fresh identity”, we interrelated the nutritional, lifestyle and emotional aspects of Yeo’s brands to garner media interest. Backed by Yeo’s pioneer and market leader position in the FMCG industry, the company’s role as an innovative and consumer focused company was penned by the media.
Initiatives
Out-of-the box PR initiatives such as conceptualised product launches, “thematic” press releases with gimmicks, targeted collaborations with schools, leveraged A&P promotional activities and CSR efforts elevated Yeo’s to become a recognised “face” in the FMCG Industry, especially in the Asian Drinks, Instant Noodles and Canned Food categories.
Outcomes
Yeo’s received significant coverage in media across all languages with increased brand recognition among BM media for what was previously deemed a traditional and Chinese brand. Younger Malaysians were also drawn to Yeo’s innovative products.
